Kacey Clayton

Kacey comes to PMAFF with a varied background in both the nonprofit sector and the federal government. Kacey recently completed the John A. Knauss Fellowship at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the Office of the NOAA Administrator where she worked to support implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law across the agency. Prior to her fellowship, Kacey held roles at the Center for American Progress where she managed a state-focused climate policy portfolio, and at COMPASS Science Communication where she managed operations for a team dedicated to bringing scientist voices into policymaking spaces. Kacey has deep experience in marine science, project management, and communications. Kacey holds a M.A. in Marine Science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science at William & Mary and a B.S. in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston.
