Anjali has enjoyed a career that spans fundraising, philanthropy and economic development. Previously, she served as Grants Manager for the Steans Family Foundation during a period of rapid growth. Anjali also held the position of Grants Officer at a group of family foundations, where she was responsible for ensuring IRS compliance, implementing grants management best practices, and the expansion of the key initiatives by facilitating collaboration between grantees.
Anjali’s work has been marked by a commitment to social justice and community development, leveraging her skills in data and policy analysis to drive impactful outcomes. Anjali earned a B.A. from Benedictine University and a M.A. in Urban Planning, with a focus on economic development, from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs.
Anjali engages in community activism in the western suburbs and enjoys a good DIY project at home with her husband and their daughter.
