Mignon joined PMAFF as its Director of Performing Arts in 2024. Before joining PMAFF, she spent nine years at Prince Charitable Trusts (PCT) first as Program Officer and then Senior Program Officer for Chicago and Rhode Island. During her tenure she developed its Ending Youth Homelessness and Violence Reductions programs and led efforts to shift the focus of its environmental funding to environmental justice communities. Mignon co-created and managed PCT’s Aya Initiative, a participatory grantmaking program designed to share power and increase funding access for Black-led organizations committed to the environment. After a successful three-year pilot, the Initiative will become an ongoing part of Prince’s grant making strategy in 2025. Most recently, Mignon led the reimagining of PCT’s arts program.
Prior to her time at Prince, Mignon was Director of Operations at League of Chicago Theatres, Director of Resource Development at Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago, Project Manager for IMPACT (Inclusion of Multicultural Perspectives in Arts, Cultural, & Theater) at the Arts & Business Council, Administrative Director at the Illinois Caucus of Adolescent Health. and Associate Director for CAPE (Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education).
Mignon has been an active member of Chicago’s theatre community for over twenty years, directing productions at several companies across the city’s vast theater landscape. She was an artistic associate with MPAACT, and a Goodman Theatre Maggio Directing Fellow.
Mignon enjoys attending concerts, working jigsaw puzzles, dancing, caring for her many houseplants, and spending time with her family.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from Roosevelt University.
